DAY ONE: TODAY
Keep your new tattoo bandages for at least a couple hours. After that, take your bandage off, wash it with warm soapy water (soap brand doesn't matter, but scented soap will cause a burning sensation). Pat it dry with a clean dry towel, and let it breath. Every couple of hours before going to bed, wash it one last time and apply a paper thin layer of vasoline and wrap it with plastic wrap.

DAY TWO:
Remove the bandage first thing, and wash it well. Throughout the rest of the day, wash your tattoo every 2-3 hours. The more you wash it, the better it will heal. Again, before bed, a final washing, apply a thin layer of vasoline and plastic wrap

Continue the previous days routine until it starts to peel. Most tattoos will peel within 3-4 days. Once the peeling sets in, you can slow down and not wash it as often, but keep it moisturised with a high quality hand lotion and/or cocoa butter.
Your tattoo will peel much like a sunburn. It will also itch. DO NOT itch, pick, or scratch at your tattoo.
It is also important to avoid the following things: SUBMERGING YOUR TATTOO...this mean no bath tubs, hot tubs swimming pools or other bodies of water (showering is fine). Also, avoid saunas, and direct sunlight for the first few weeks.
Once your tattoo is completely healed, avoid direct contact with the sun is the best way to ensure it stays looking fresh. if you must be in the sun, sunblock is key.
